MASH unleashes the ox on Frederiksberg March 1st
There’s been construction going on in the old bank building on Gammel Kongevej 116. Here designers, architects and construction workers have been working hard to make a raw and urban version of MASH ready for opening on Thursday, March 1st, where steak loving guests can break the read leather sofas in.
From March 1st it will be easier to eat well locally on Frederiksberg. MASH is opening their 11th restaurant in the historical building which used to house the old bank on Gammel Kongevej. The restaurant offers MASHs signature starters, steaks, sauces, sides and superior wines, along with seasonal dishes and a large and welcoming bar in a beautiful and cosy room.
– We’re very excited to open here in the heart of Frederiksberg, and the location is perfect for the many residents of Frederiksberg, who wants to eat great food locally. We’re aiming at making MASH Frederiksberg a popular spot for dinner, or just for entering from the street for a good glass of wine in the bar, says Jesper Boelskifter, CEO of Copenhagen Concepts, the company behind MASH.
MASH Frederiksberg will be something special
All MASH restaurants are based on the same concept, but in regard to the interior decorations, there’s a big difference between Skovriderkroen, the top of Tivoli Hotel and at Bredgade, where it all began in 2009. MASH Frederiksberg will also be something special – not only because for the first time, the owners are experimenting with a new design, something more rustique with bare walls and crackled tiles. Besides world class cuts, MASH is also known for its expertise on wines and an extensive wine list, which counts more than 600 wines, these will naturally be found in the old bank vault in the basement.
– The MASH brand has existed for almost nine years. It’s a strong and well tried concept, but it needs to evolve to not stand still and fade. That is what we’re doing here on Frederiksberg, and we’re very exited to see what the guests think about our new ideas. Personally I think that we, along with our British design partner Mike Duncalf, have created a really cool setting, which offers a lot of ambiance, which is one of the most important ingredients in a great MASH expertience, says Mikkel Glahn, Partner and Marketing Manager in Copenhagen Concepts.
MASH – Modern American Steakhouse – offers a large variety of steaks and cuts from cattle from USA, uruguay, Australia, Germany, Japan and Denmark. Guests can, among other things, look forward to tasting Danish Dry-aged rib-eye, matured for up to 90 days, which gives the meat a unique character, taste and tenderness. MASH Frederiksberg will also have a well assorted selection of more than 600 bottles and a well stocked bar.

Denmark: Bredgade, Frederiksberg, Rungsted, Skovriderkroen, Tivoli Hotel, Cph Airport, Aarhus and Odense
Germany: Hamburg and Düsseldorf
